One of the finest choral conductors I have had the honor of working with

My name is Sydney Belden, currently 20 years old and a junior at the University of Washington pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance. Mrs. Daniel is one of the kindest and most knowledgeable teachers out there. I credit all the success that I am receiving now as a college student with an opera career underway to the spark that she first gave me for music. As my high school choir director, she took the time to get to know me and my voice, and gave me the self-confidence I needed to use my gift to its full potential. She is beyond patient and willing to work with students of all abilities and levels. Beyond having an expert ear for the improvement and encouragement of young voices, she is also one of the finest choral conductors I have had the honor of working with. Anyone with the opportunity to work with Mrs. Daniel is so lucky and will grow immensely in confidence and as a musician.

Observing Her Teach Students Is An Art Form

As a parent, I have recently been fortunate enough to witness the incredible impact a talented and dedicated voice teacher can have on a student’s musical journey. My 6th grade daughter has only been in voice lessons with CJ for a semester and already is so much more confident, knowledgeable about how to breathe and sing with proper technique, and even performed at the studio recital beautifully – showing how much her vocal abilities have grown in a short time. CJ embodies patience, thoroughness, encouragement, and a holistic approach to vocal training. She is a gifted musician and vocalist, and observing her teach students is an art form. She creates a nurturing environment and has an innate ability to understand and connect with students, adapting her teaching style to match each individual’s needs. I know that working with CJ is a positive investment in my daughter’s life, her future as a singer but above all her belief in herself. CJ empowers young voices to explore their full potential and anyone will flourish under her guidance. We are so grateful to have her as a mentor shaping the musical experience for our daughter in such a remarkable way!
